Wire EDM

Wire EDM Technologies has ten wire machines to serve your needs. We have both submerged and non-submerged capabilities of 15.7 in. thick and travels of 24.8 x 15.75 inches in the X and Y axis. Thirty (30) degree tapers are possible on parts of 15.7 in. thick.

Four (4) Axis Taper Specialists

Wire EDM specializes in 4 axis tapering work, which can be cut via solid, surface and wireframe models. Our equipment is capable of fine surface finishes with surface integrity generators desired for the cutting of carbide and titanium.

Time and Cost Reduction

Our machines are auto-cut and auto-threading for unassisted, lights out productivity resulting in quicker turn around of jobs at reduced cost.

Running small wire diameters we produce inside radii of 0.003 in. when needed.

Climate Controlled for Tight Tolerances

The machines are operated in a clean, climate, controlled environment to ensure holding tight tolerance of ± 0.0001 inch. With a controlled climate, we can hold tight tolerances over the entire travel of the machine tool.

Industry Best Surface Finish

Our surface finish capabilities are the best in the business. We can achieve a CH-2 or 3.14 micro finish. In the case of mold cutting details too small to be benched, we can have polishing done before it leaves our facility to save you time and money.

Applications

Electrode EDM is appropriate for aerospace, automotive, furniture, medical and defense applications. Electrode EDM is also applicable for punches, dies, mold components, gage details, tooling components, prototype details and more.
